Welcome to my website, I am a London based 4th degree black belt teacher of Hontai Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu, a style which also includes Kodachi, Bojutsu and Iaijutsu.

I started training Hontai Yoshin Ryu in 1987 in the UK under the direction of Sensei Mike McClure. I travelled to Japan on the invitation of Inoue Kyoichi Munenori Sensei, who is now the 19th Generation Soke (Grandmaster) of Hontai Yoshin Ryu, and I lived in Japan From January 1991 to January 1997 (and then again in 2001 for 3 months), and studied Hontai Yoshin Ryu at the Sohonbu dojo (headquarters) in the Imazu district of Nishinomiya City.




THIS WEEK ONLY training has been moved to Wednesday evening (19 NOV), training is back on at the regular time on Thursday next week. I am teaching a regular Hontai Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu class in London on; Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 8.30pm, at; St Dionis' Mission Hall Parsons Green London SW6 4UH

I consider myself extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to learn directly from some of the 20th century's most legendary Jujutsu masters, including the 18th & 19th Generation Hontai Yoshin Ryu Soke, and the Sohonbu dojo Menkyo Kaiden Sensei.

I feel honoured to be classed as a direct 'sohonbu dojo' student, and it gives me the greatest satisfaction to share the teachings of my Sensei, and my experiences and skills with my students.

I welcome new students of good character that wish to study martial arts in the true spirit of Hontai Yoshin Ryu Koryu Bujutsu.
